Friday 10 January, the Sustainable Service Logistics for Offshore Wind Farms (SSLOWF) project had its final event. Consortium partners of this Rijksuniversiteit Groningen project (funded by NWO/TKI-Dinalog), as well as consortium members of the SLOEP (Service Logistics for Offshore Energy Production) project and other interested parties met in the Energy Barn.  The Energy Barn is located on the EnTranCe site at Zernikelaan, Groningen.

As quite a few people had had some distance to travel, we started off with a vegetarian lunch.  Straight after we were led around the EnTranCe facility by Ted Wildenberg. The participants found the tour interesting and informative, though those who had not thought to bring coats suffered a little!

Back in the Energy Barn, after the official welcome and short round of introductions, the PhDs/post-docs (Fábio Neves-Moreira, Xinyu Li, Albert Schrotenboer, Michiel uit het Broek) on the project presented the results of their research, which were well received.

We then listened to two talks: one from Ferry Visser (World Class Maintenance) on Zephyros Field Labs and one from Eddie Doornbos on his organisation: NNOW (Northern Netherlands Offshore Wind).

Jasper Veldman and Ruud Teunter (the RuG leads on the project) then gave a presentation on a glimpse into the future of offshore wind research followed by an opportunity for participant input and discussion.

Existing connections were strengthened, new connections were made and the project was successfully concluded.
